Ford Owners Gain Access to Supercharger Network

Preproduction Part Shown.

There is some exciting news for our Ford F-150 Lightning and Mustang Mach-E customers. They are now the first among non-Tesla automakers to gain access to Tesla Superchargers throughout the U.S. and Canada, which makes charging on the go easier than ever, with thousands of locations available.

At Bill Utter Ford, we understand that access to charging stations is a significant consideration for EV buyers. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that Ford is breaking barriers by improving access to reliable fast charging. According to a Cox Automotive Consumer Sentiment Study, the availability of charging stations ranks second only to price as a concern for potential EV buyers. As EV prices become more competitive, ensuring convenient access to fast charging is crucial in encouraging more customers to make the switch to electric.

With over 15,000 Tesla Superchargers now accessible to Ford customers, the BlueOvalā„¢ Charge Network is doubling the availability of reliable DC fast charging options. To show their appreciation to its EV customers, Ford is offering the Fast Charging Adapter at no cost to new and existing customers enrolled in the BlueOvalā„¢ Charge Network until June 30, 2024. This adapter is necessary for charging at upgraded Tesla Superchargers, and Ford retail EV customers are the first in the industry to have the opportunity to order it.

But the perks don’t end there. Retail customers who order the adapter by June 30, 2024, are eligible to receive it complimentary. After that date, Ford EV customers can purchase the adapter from us for $230, including estimated tax and shipping. For our Ford Pro commercial customers, stay tuned as we’ll be reaching out this spring to provide details on how to order the adapter.

Our commitment to seamless charging experiences extends beyond just providing adapters. With the BlueOvalā„¢ Charge Network, customers can enjoy the convenience of a single stored payment account accessible through the FordPass App or the Charge Assist App (soon to be renamed “Public Charge”) directly from their vehicle’s touchscreen. No more fumbling with credit cards at charging stations. And with Plug & Charge activation, Tesla Superchargers will soon support automatic charging initiation through FordPass, making the process effortless for our customers.

Looking ahead, Bill Utter Ford is also excited to announce that our next-generation electric vehicles will come equipped with the North American Charging Standard (NACS) connector built-in, eliminating the need for adapters to access Tesla Superchargers.

Join us at Bill Utter Ford in Denton, Texas, as we lead the charge towards a more electrified future. Experience the convenience and innovation of Ford EVs today.
